I was really excited by this project. A portfolio website for Andrew Clarkson and superb wedding photographer. He wanted an update to his website that would work great on any platform. I think we achieved a real visual treat for any prospective customers. Andrew also decided to ditch his shared hosting and like many of my clients going my wordpress network, taking advantage of the ongoing support and superior performance I am able to provide my clients.

Renewenergy wanted a slick professional looking website for there new and growing business. They had clear ideas as to what the look and feel of the website wanted to be, after two drafts I was able to give them exactly what they were looking for!

Another wordpress user having issues with the look and feel of his website. I have edited the style on a number of pages and had to implement code to group videos by day rather that just listing in a standard post format.

As you should know (if you have been keeping up to date with my blog/website) we have moved servers, while doing this i had to do a few bits and bobs. I will be posting these to my website over the next few days, as i get time to write something up for you all. I thought this one was just a quick little nugget.

The SQL will let you find and replace text in your wordpress posts when executed on the database. I used this to change the domain details for the images used on the sites.

Here it is:

UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = REPLACE(post_content, 'andyfielder.com', 'andyfielder.co.uk');

You use it in the form:

UPDATE your table SET – your field and then = REPLACE(your field when you find ‘SOMETHING’, with ‘SOMETHING ELSE’);

New dedicated server!!

Sorry for the downtime, things are being uploaded to the new server, we have cut out a lot of the baggage we had on our old server, this should allow use to proved a better service to our clients, both on the managed wordpress install and also for those on our hosting packages.

This was my first project from the website peopleperhour.com. Paula had a very very limited budget and an even tighter deadline and a site that was not working at all. She had been let down by her previous host and having bought a package deal for the website online with no support available from them we decided to start again. Paula is now happy with her website and now that is is hosted with me she is able to get the ongoing support she needs to grow her business without the headache of keeping her website updated.

We are now able to offer a hosting solution as part of our website design package services.

We have upgraded our servers and happy that they are running correctly, as such we are able to offer 1 years free hosting with any of our website packages. A new section of our website is under development at the moment and will have its wrapping peeled off very soon!!

A nice web development project. Lucy wanted a website where she could keep a record of the work she has made. She had a very moderate budget so we used a wordpress content management system, some already developed plugins and a premium theme. The design brief changed slightly over time and now includes a fully functioning shopping cart system where Lucy can sell select items online. The site also features an interactive calendar so people are able to know where she will be exhibiting her work.

Working for Freedom Sites I was asked to help with the develop this fantastic website. My main input was tweaking the GUI and the custom content and stock management systems which the site owner uses. I also made some changes and debugged the CSS issues we had with the site before it was released to the client.
